A Reputed Local Contracting company is looking for a Workshop Foreman. Below are the Job Requirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish and continuously review with workshop Manager the workshop’s structure, work flows and job responsibilities in the workshop to ensure work is organized and carried out in the most efficient and effective manner.Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.Operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction.Coordinate pre-delivery inspection, parts requirements, to ensure the right parts are available and there is no delay or loss of labor hours due to lack of co-ordination.Support service staff to ensure maintenance of tools is done on a timely basis to ensure costs of business is kept to minimum without compromising on safety.
Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts. Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.Troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems.
Supervise the work of mechanics to ensure that the set workshop processes are followed so that the work flow, quality standards, profit and customer satisfaction index is maintained.Check quality of product defect reports and follow up with for resolution of product issues to ensure timely and quality service.Skills Required:Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical/ Technical)
Proven track record of successfully acting as workshop foreman
At least 4 years of specialized project management training and experience in GCC countries
Excellent communication in English – written and oral
Organizational ability
Detail oriented
Technically competent with ability to train others
People Management Skills particularly with regard to improving motivation are necessary
